Hi all. My name is Darren (Blue Thunder/ BT02) from Lancaster in England and i have been DXing since i was 9 year old. I was an avvid DXer on the old AM frequencies when i was first introduced to CB. Shortly after we was given the FM frequencies by the powers that be but i still preffered the old AM and soon after moved over to FM, then Sideband with my brand new NATO 2000 (xmas present) and had extra frequencies added with the use of toggle switches drilled into the back of the rig. But my days were numbered as work issues left me with no time or engery so i stopped using my rig untill i was in my 50's.
I have since returned with more passion than before! (I think i p****d my wife off so much that the sweet dear bought me the following for my xmas present a few years ago and im still using but looking to upgrade.
My setup:- RIG:-Alinco DX10 SSB SWR:-Zetagi TM999 meter/matcher ANTENNA1:-Thunderpole 2 1/4 wave i use for SSB ANTENNA2:-Thunderpole 2 1/2 wave i use for SSB ANTENNA3:-Homemade Dipole for FM/AM POWER SUPPLY:-Nevada PSW 30H power supply
The only other CB club i was a member of was called MOONRAKERS which was held at the MOONRAKERS PUB in from Salford/Manchester. It would be a blessing if i could learn more from the CHARLIE TANGO group members as i have been out of touch for many years.

Always good reading a great introduction with a little about new members radio history.
