vhf ham antenna aprox 6ft

hi i live in stockton on tees and need a 2 m antenna put up on the stack i cant do it myself a dissaibilty not safe on a lader brackets coax w 103 allready fitted and allso small mast ready for u bolt any information would be greatfull paul m0kbd

Did you get something sorted yet?

I know that with my own disability such tasks are all but impossible and hence my antennas in the loft. My better half has been great assisting me so far but she’s not getting any younger so only able to help so much.

I have a homemade EDZ for 2m (5/8ths dipole with wire on a garden cane!) which gets to repeaters 30 miles or so out. My homemade 70cm beams get further (some 8 or 9 repeaters!) even hand held in the house!

With some ingenuity you can achieve fruitful success and although I’d love a dual band colinear on the chimney stack ‘volunteers’ can be hard to come by and professional services are expensive.
