Subject: Help! Dynascan 10M66 Tue Mar 28, 2023 2:13 pm
Not sure if this the correct place to post this I'm new!! I have a new boxed Dynascan 10M66 which I was given! Not been on cb since 80's! Hoping to restart, where can I get a swr/power meter for this? Only on fm before so big learning curve! No aerial yet, posted a while ago but bad health stopped me going further. Now recovering, hoping to start soon. Was going to buy:
Mcbazel Surecom SW-102S Digital VHF/UHF 125-525Mhz SO239 Connector Power & SWR Meter On Amazon But told not suitable, any suggestions greatly received, also would I need a dummy load to check as no aerial yet!
This rig is SO different from what I am used to!

I believe the Dynascan has a built-in SWR meter, you just have to enable it from one of the menus. If you are going to test the radio without an antenna, you will need a dummy load.

It has a swr meter but built in ones don't have a good reputation! Can you recommend a power meter and dummy load?

Knights will have a selection as will Radioworld and Thurnderpole, it's not fair for me to appear to promote just one supplier. As for a dummy load you want one capable of 60W if outputting full power.
