hi anyone used a se hf- x 80/ 80 to 6 meter vertical base antenna at ground mounting the one i have used it on the hf bands thanks for looking paul m0kbd 73s

I have the fiberglass or whit ever version of it. Not in use at the moment but it did work ok for me. Base was around 10ft from the deck and might put it back up soon. Only took it down when o moved into my new shack and needs a lot of coax to reach now. One thing i did notice is the box at the base is not waterproof mine got water in it so i drilled a small hole in it.
