Looking to get Hf set ready for after the big pass, get used to tuning ect before tx, Got two in mind Fdx10 Ic7300
Been reading loads of reviews about both, seen ic7300 working with a local ham and was well impressed with all the on screen and tuning but not seen fdx10 working
What would you go for yasu is £200 more at m&l at the moment but might go 2nd hand but first Hf set be better to be new

Got both here. Don't use the 7300 much but won't get rid as it is a good radio. FTDX-10 i do use or did up to a few weeks ago when i got the FT-710. The 710 is good but can tell it's a cut down version of the ftdx-10. Another radio i have is a yeasu 991a that is a shack in a box and a good radio you might want to look into that one.

You will be happy with most modern rigs. I'm all ICOM here but you will find the Yaesu rigs are just fine as well.

Missed a bargain. A guy was selling an Icom 7300 he'd used mobile in his van for £550. He described it as 6.5/10 cosmetic so had priced it low because of how many hams are about demanding pristine radios, even for stuff 30 years old. He put a photo up eventually and I was trying to see where the reason for the price was, didn't look like there was anything wrong. Maybe there were a couple of marks from the mobile bracket he'd bolted it to? No idea. Gutted I missed it.
