well if it helps my siro never cam off once..... and hit a few tree braches and low bridges with being high top but never came off and also i never stuck to the errrrrr 60mph cant belive i said that and yep never came off even with all them horses running at full gallop, the top was a bit errrrr bent and twisted had to make good before mini install lol.....highly recomend them think it was Alan that said about them first, had DV27`s, firse sticks etc inthe past but best one so far, now set up for 2m as got my licence now, you can get he whips from moonraker and other well known shops,internet etc and wild places i live in norfolk there is even grass growing in middle of most roads i go on lol.......

Just a suggestion.
Add a 6 inch steel spring between the mount and the antenna, check to see if there is a grounding strap from the body of the vehicle to the frame and to the engine block, if it's not grounded to both then add grounding straps , both the spring and the ground straps should lower your SWR, most of the newer vehicles aren't properly grounded. (Body- Frame-Engine Block)

Hey OM A long time ago I bought a mobile antenna with the same problem. An OM had looked at it and said briefly that the soldering points on the coil looked cold. Off to the soldering station, the two soldering points on the coil were replaced and then my SWR was perfect. 73+55
