Good Morning All, This is somewhat weird, I have a multiband 6m/2m/70cm antenna (white stick type) and last night mid-conversation on 2m the SWR went through the roof. I was using 50W at the time. Now, I have checked the radio with a dummy load and all is good. I have checked with another radio, and still no go on 2m. Bizzaarely, the antenna is fine on 6m and 70cm.
Any ideas?? Short in coax possibly, but how come it still works on other bands?

***UPDATE*** After some advice from another amateur I took the antenna down and stripped it, to find that one of the small capacitors inside had shorted agsinst the threaded metal ring that joins the two halves of the antenna together. I sincerely hope this may help anyone who has the same issue in future.
