hi i am looking for a turns counter for a cap co hf atu the atu works perfect but needs a turns counter thanks for looking paul

I think you might have a tough time trying to locate a turns counter for your Capco Paul unless it's attached to another Capco ATU or someone's stripped one down. There are other turns counters available (pretty expensive) but you'd have to bodge it up to make it fit.
Is the original unit missing or does it need repair? It might be easier to try and fix it rather than replace it. That or put a clear perspex top on it with appropriate markings so that you can see the roller inductors position when setting it.
(I saw that done once and thought it was a pretty ingenious solution, but some seem to think RF leaks like water if you don't have an all metal enclosure. )

hi victor thanks for your reply the capco hf atu works fine without the turns counter i think bits are missing on the turns counter but it will tune allmost any antenna i wil use it if i have a transceiver with out a bilt in atu ts 2000 x or my 480 sat i allso have a capco 144 mhz atu that will do balanced line and coax i have mfj 6/2/70cms units built in to a cabinet i made at a local woodwork group m0kbd wishing all a great christmass paul and sarah

No worries there Paul, they are great ATU's and if used sensibly with a SWR meter, listening by ear at a push, with a noise-bridge or some such fairly easy to adjust for use.
