Nope. And unless you need the bandwidth of the 5000 you're better off saving a few quid and getting the Sirio 4000. It has the same whip length as the 5000, performs the same but just has a slightly narrower bandwidth. However if you're only running from EU Ch1 to UK Ch40 it'll be fine. It's those who want to use super low bands who'd be better with the 5000.

I use a Wilson 1000 daily in my high top sprinter van. The only reason I bought the wilson is the whip is much shorter than the sirio. I would have a sirio 4000 megawatt if the whips were shorter.

It's a kind of a trade off, the shorter the whip the less efficient the antenna. I think the Wilson 1000 is a good compromise. It's just a tad shorter than the Sirio 3000 which I tested against a 5000 and found it was just a S point lower so something S5 on the 5000 would be a S4 on the 3000. It's certainly much better than those 3ft or less stubby things.

Only downside is that the Wilson 1000 is now over £100.

Agreed they are pricey but work extremely well. Just as good as the sirio but definitely not better. For price no doubt the sirio is a winner. Performance is very very similar, I only bought the Wilson because of the whip height and it's a great performer. If it's going on a car or a smaller van then it's a no brainer sirio 4000 for me.
