Swr on president george 2 with solacon a99 antenna

Hi guys,
I’ve just set up my president george with a a99 antenna,swr is really good on most bands except fm uk the swr is really high and on some channels the swr needle won’t stay on set  to get correct swr reading,just wondering if anyone has come across this problem before or perhaps Could point me in the right direction to hopefully get the swr down.

Sounds like the antenna is a bit short.
You want to set the SWR around the part of the band you want to use the most if that makes sense.
It it better the lower the frequency you go on.
Not had that aerial since the 80s but i remember it had a good bandwidth and mine was setup around 27.555 but still ok on 40 uk fm.

I had a A99 and as Alan said mine was fine and had a good band width, do you have access to a Analyser to see where its resistant ? Really go from there, I used mine on 10m and 11m and ran mine through a Yeasu FC-700 ATU to just tweak it a bit if required.
