Hi,
I have just re-activated my interest in CB radio after my first foray in 1980. My personal is Steve and I have always wanted to return to CB and now it is legal, I have returned.
I bought a Superstar 360 FM in 1980 and sported a DV27 antenna on my Mk3 Cortina back in the day. I was parked near Gatwick Airport when two customs officers confiscated the radio from me (it was not legal then) ending a great summer of CB memories talking to many new CBers worldwide on SSB. This was a new experience for many.
I worked away from the UK and just recently bought a Superstar 3900 classic because it eminded me of my first radio. Athough acivity is based on conditions, not a lot heard up here just yet but I would like to apply here for a Charlie Tango call to get things rolling.
Hope to start static mobile again in summer from the hills.
Steve

Hello Steve, welcome to the forum and back to the hobby.
Nice intro buddy! We're only a few months away from the summer E-skip season so the band should open up most days then into Europe. We all have to be a little patient.
I am delighted to allocate you 108-CT-248 may you have good luck with it.
73's Gary.

Hi Gary,
That was really quick, many thanks for taking the time to allocate my call sign. I shall need to get a new antenna and get ready for the summer E Skip, as you say.
Looking forward to working other CT call signs if I hear them.
Thanks again,
Steve
