Hi everyone I suspect I am your newest member so please be gentle with me. Firstly I am not sure whether it is normal to use your real names or just usernames, if someone could let me know I will adjust accordingly. My user name is Gramdan and I live in West Yorkshire. I was a very keen CB enthusiast in the late 70s and just about all of the 80s. Due to family and work commitments and moving around for my job, I had to call it a day as far as the cb was conserned. I am recently retired and having lost my wife to cancer 5 years ago, I find myself with time on my hands. I recently bought myself a new cb radio which I must say bears little resemblance to the ones I owned in the 70s and 80s and when I saw your group I thought it would be nice to join a group of like minded people. So here I am.

Hello and welcome to the forum and welcome back to the hobby.
Although you register on the forum with a user name, most people refer to each other in posts by their Christian names. A lot of members incorporate their name into their user name.
The radios have certainly changed since the 70s, although a lot of the members, myself included still use the old school stuff. My favourite being my Stalker 9fdx.
I hope you enjoy the forum and your return to the hobby.
