Hi, I'm. Paul based in West Central Scotland. Was an avid CBer back in 1980s. Started with the usual 40ch 27/81 rig (Harrier I think from Dixons) and soon moved to a Cobra 148gtl dx, which was an awesome radio. My callsign on ssb back then was 1PA15 (15 being my age at the time). Strapped a 1/2 wave Magnum antenna to the chimney and away I went. Made loads of new pals at our local CB club and had loads of fun driving round chatting on cbs once I was able to drive. Always been keen on electronics, and interested in RC planes also. Recently reacquainted with radio when I picked up a Uniden scanner to monitor airband, then found some chats on cb frequencies and pmr locally, with other uhf/vhf ham chat too. So bought a uhf/vhf dmr radio, just for monitoring the digital talk groups over local repeaters. Just this last week I picked up an Anytone at-6666 and rigged a temporary antenna in the garden to get reacquainted with cb frequencies. Spotted Fred in the Shed videos on YT so ended up here. So, hi to everyone and hopefully see if I can get some local stations soon. I have a lot to re-learn and looking forward to that. Not sure how active CT is up here in Scotland but sure I'll find out. Cheers, Paul
