| Hi guys I'm in lockdown like most others and slowly going insane, I need to improvise an antenna to enable me to be able to listen (for now) to my President Grant 2. its a Ham and CB AM FM SSB combi unit.
Is it possible to simply use a piece of cable or wire of a set length to improvise a listening only antenna, if so how long sould the vertical section be to get reasonable reception ?
cheers BILL | |

| If you're not going to TX then it really doesn't matter how long the wire is, although ideally 102 inches or so for the vertical (1/4 wavelength). Height is the main thing, get it as high as you can for best reception. | |
