Spotted this little ditty on the BBC News Website and it made me smile .
It's great to see not only us poor radio folk have to try and put up with EMC .

Ha! Ha!
No one gives a cr*p when it's us 1%'ers putting up with EMC. Nice to see it afflicting other aspects of 'radio' - maybe something will finally be done about it all! (I won't hold my breath though.)
Nice one Graeme, gave me my smile for the day
All the best, Victor

Ha Ha,
I had to smile when they tried a replacement cable programme and waited 18 months before walking around with a detector and found the issue
I would love to see the TV that caused itĀ

I wish they would do a cable replacement here. 5 Bungalows where i am 4 get twice as fast internet speed than me. To make it 100 times worse my son has his own bt line and he get's the full speed. One of the many engineers did say it could be the mail cable from the cabinet but they won't change it. Every time i complain they send me a new smart hub 2 witch i get good money for on the bay lol.

Seems Ofcom also covered the story
They also had a story about a faulty wireless doorbell preventing people from locking/unlocking their cars :-
Ofcom - When ding dong goes wrong
Also a more serious case of air traffic control being affected in Glasgow :-
Ofcom engineers shine a light on interference
They might seem to be doing b*gger all about interference to our beloved CB, but you've got to admit that they are doing a good job!

Yup, light bulbs!
These 'Edison' bulbs that look like vintage incandescents actually have a string of LED 'filaments' and associated driver circuitry. RF noisy as heck!
(Doesn't help that the Ofcom story showed a real incandescent bulb which generally doesn't cause interference.)
