Good morning all.
I.have just added a Plus Kit to my Sigma 360 HF antenna. The query i have is can i adjust the swr on 40mtr whip with the antenna laid over on its side. Then once it is close to normal get it upright?

I do mine with it leaning over our decking hand rail just to keep it of the ground. It does touch the rail but not the full weight.(wood rail and Gainmaster aerial) Edit let us know how you get on just noticed your aerial and was looking at that to go with my 450d as well.

It is really awkward set up where i am. Garden is to small to lay out the aerial. I have to pull it apart then assemble bit in the gap behind the house laid out across a set of chairs.
Sigma claim that carefully set up Plus kit you should get a decent swr with an internal tuner.
Withe regards to the 450D you will definetly need an external tuner for 11mtrs. You can hear loads but dare not transmit as the swr is a bus ride out. Just ordered an LDG z 100 plus tuner tk work with the 450D.
