Hi all I thought a 5/8 home base antenna was better than 1/2 wave, I am not so sure now after lots of reading, like the look of sigma skipmaster as no large ground planes, and obviously the white might blend in with our crappy weather...what's the opinion on the skipmaster, which one is better for 11 meter dx, 1/2 or 5/8, I noticed they are 9 plus dB...

5/8 wave is better Oh get the antenna as high as possible or as much as you can without upsetting anyone.

I had the 2012 skipmaster and then went over to the gainmaster after the skipmaster got damaged. Personally i thought the skipmaster was better but it could be down to the fact i can't put my aerial up very high.
