Subject: Sirio SkipMaster ordered Sun Aug 29, 2021 6:59 pm
Definitely need a vertical at the Home QTH! What with all the noise on the long wire and no real DX , Is Ive ordered Skipmaster, seen as the Gainmaster was too tall for here, its now collecting dust in the loft
SkipMaster is 14ft and a bit, so will go where I can place it, and hopefully at least tune up on 10m & 11M?
See how it goes when it arrives?
cheers Tony

I have/had the Skipmaster 14ft one half wave i think ??. Well i had one up but it came with a tiny damage and my silicone repair didn't work for long so as i has reported the damage i sent it back and was refunded (Amazon). I did buy another one but plans changed and a HF aerial took it's place and so the new one is still in the box here in the shack. I though it worked quite well the first one that is as i didn't have it up high at all i think the base was around 12ft from the ground.
Okay, it arrived on Friday, first chance to assemble today and put up temporary! It Tunes from 24Mhz to 30Mhz without much trouble, although best SWR on 24Mhz is 2.2? I expected worse so happy I have 10,11,& 12M ops
There is also less noise on the bands, but that could be its RX is not as strong as the longwire? It does also need to go at least another 6 feet skywards!
Will test it better, over the coming week as there is likely to be better conditions?

Got me thinking about putting mine up. You find good reports and bad reports on this aerial but I found it ok so glad to see you are doing ok with it so far.
