Getting a bit confused with my icom 718, when on 40m 7,0000 I can Tx when I go past 7,10000 I can only RX is this normal, seem to getting different frequently off Google..

I can only assume either your particular model was produced before or near then or maybe for a different region(?) The only way I can see around it is the wideband mod, but if I come across anything different I'll let you know.

As Victor said, you must have an older model but i don't think these radio's were made after 2009. You will need to wide band the radio. If you're not confident don't do it. Get someone that can do it.

The mod looks easy to do but you need a fine tip iron to do it. I have seen people snip the part in the past but easier and less chance of damage if you use a fine tip iron well i think so. Re-booked ????
