Qrz general question

Have logged  my call sign on qrz,  wont let  me add to the data base etc,  someone  just  told me on the air i have  to be accepted  by another  qrz member not sure  if this is correct  maybe  someone  can help thanks

Just tried to register your call and get this so i think you have registered it.
"Sorry, but a user named M7PLD is already registered."

put my call in a search then click "Log a new contact with mw7tta" and see what it does.

Comes up, log book error,, my call is partly reg but not gone into data base

Don't understand why i didn't have any problem and i don't think Victor did.
Can you contact them and ask i would try that strange.

Have had a message from qrz helper asking me for more info ie address dob etc surprised they haven't asked me for my blood group

Think i had to put my DOB when i joined up.

All good have been excepted has to go through to be checked

The moderators on there are just like here, all volunteers freely giving their own time
(I had a really helpful Spanish Radio Amateur set up mine who was thrilled when I gave him thanks.)

You can edit your account to show as much or less detail as you like, (you seem to be on full show at the moment).

At least you'll keep some of the old Hams happy who'll address you by name before you've even introduced yourself!

I did put my full address in but my wife thinks it better to remove the Street and number just in case gone with EQSL, its better i think just need to use a qsl editor..

Haven't done my personal profile will get that sorted, had two good qso contacts today on 70, Hungary and new york its only been 40 years...

Yeah, sad days when you can't put your full address up in public for fear of someone using it for nefarious reasons!
Not that anyone paper QSLs nowadays, (I think some do though).

Well done with your Ham Radio QSOs, bet you were well chuffed!

It's been forever since I joined, but I vaguely remember having to send my license and ID.  Didn't really have an issue with, as it's nice knowing there are no fake profiles, and you don't need to put your full address online once registered.  I just use nearest city.

Strange but i don't remember any problem and i only joined last November no waiting just signed up and job done.

I think they have tightened security up...

Could be they have but it's only 3 months ago.
