So started getting all the shack back together... First thing to go was all the digital mode equipment.
I used it a lot a while back, but found it was kinda taking me away from SSB. So decided to quit that.
I stupidly got rid of my FT1000, and now only have the IC 746. So linked the iMac up with that, and MacLogger DX.
Working a treat as my logging program, and I like to keep memories in the computer, rather than the radio, So that is my next job.
The Heil mic is all set up on the boom, so away I went. I worked 3 of the LMS special event stations today, conditions were poor.
But slowly getting back into it!
Now I have to take down the beam and rotor to service them, but may move them on. I am very tempted with the DX Commander vertical. Anyone here have one? I think the dipole may be coming down as well. It is a bit of a PITA in the summer, when we like to use the garden.
I guess, I was a little excited about getting the shack back into a working state.
Next, I have to get a radio into the new Cherokee, and the new caravan. Without my wife knowing.
Anyone have any tips on that scenario please?
