It'll work just fine. Don't worry about the gain figures, getting it up higher is more important than outright gain unless you're on the top of a mountain because you're going to be limited by terrain and even the curvature of the earth long before the line of sight distance you can get on that antenna becomes an issue.

my young bro uses a sirio 440cx antenna and it gets out great and pulls in well a very good clear sig no crap like the cb has i be leave if you get a antenna that pmr only thats the best way to go better stronger tx and rx and your not spending good money as some of the bigger tri band anteens. and my home made mobile atenna is only 16cm and a 3/8s whip adapter on to a 3/8s mag got the measurements from transmission one and it works great, my base antenna came from the Czech republic and belts and pulls in to, but never listen to them that tell us, its only good for about in the towns , its better 15 miles to my young bro and its great and then they say, its line of sight only there is no line of sight in the town i still can chat to him and no line of sight from the base antenna at home and with antenna that just for 446 pmr he is 15 mile away and on a hill the wrong side of the hill . in the car crt space u in the home crt 7u and its a great combination and it works even going out up to the hills, some time its just better , of the top still get out but not swamped with signals,
