SS 6900N V6 Enabling both 1 and 2nd band

Hi All.

Life was so much easier years ago when the rig went into the rig doctor and an extra block got added.

Now I'm playing with a computer within a rig.

So, before I make everything go PHUT!
I used a programming lead to back up the default settings.
(Dead proud of myself for managing to do that.)

The decision now is whether to enable Band 1 & 2.

Problem is I've got TWO ways of doing it.
(Thank you YouTube for confusing me).

So, being a scaredy cat when it comes to anything computerized, I'm asking is this is the correct set of instructions??

CRT SS 6900 V6

RADIO OFF.
PRESS AND HOLD FUNC + S/RF
TURN ON RADIO
INDICATED AS 1BAND
TURN CHANNEL SWITCH TO 2BAND

PRESS FUNC UNTIL RES THEN REND SHOWS ON SCREEN

TURN OFF, TURN ON, JOB DONE??

Are you trying to get 10m and 11m on the 6 bands.

Scroll down this page and find different programming options for the 6900.

As said, I'm not a techie so when this shiny box arrived I went browsing for those bits of knowledge that the "not so in depth" user's manual left out.

And up popped this 1band, 2band option as a key click package.
Which made a lot of sense as it included the lower and low band frequencies but tucked the 10m stuff elsewhere.

Still, I sort of understand DAT files now so a-browsing I will go!
(Hoping like made that the dat files will work on my new toy)

If anyone else is reading this, I'd still like to know if the instructions are correct.
