Pretty dumb question but as a returning CBer I was wondering if there is any high ground around Burnham on sea ?, OS map suggests it's as flat as a kippers wotsit, .

Just get as close to the salt water as possible , I'd swap my 290m asl portable location for dipping my toes in the salt water any day of the week.

oh ok, I'll try the beach at Brean avoiding the mud flats of Course, locals might not approve of a bit of skinny dipping though .

Old memories coming back lol. Sat in my car many times with the front wheels in the sea following the tide in or out. Got very close on the odd occasion lol.

This is my nearest beach, Horseshoe Bay,I could sit here for days, 1 hour drive from there and I'm at the highest point in my State, Mount Lofty. I'm spoilt for choice here. I've had my best dx'ing from the hills, however on those hot summer's nights the beach was always the ultimate place. I've heard that getting offshore in a boat on a good night is awesome with almost zero man made interface.
