Receive conditions were pretty good when I got home this evening from Lebanon again plus various south and central America countries, but I failed to get back to any of them again. Lots of Brazil on now, but not one of them are hearing me. So radio is off and going to make a cup of tea. Compared to my nice little start, the last week and half have been fruitless

Neal, I wouldn't worry mate as radio conditions have been pretty poor over the last week. Here's hoping that hearing activity on 10m again is a good sign for the summer. I think you've done pretty flipping well so far!
----------
Gary, I can imagine how you feel and like you at the start I was only getting signals right in the back of the box. (I'd only recently got the HF set fully working and aligned too then started doubting my abilities!) My change over from a simple dipole to the doublet acting as an EDZ on 10 seems to have helped with reception though. I sincerely hope your rig is in good order and it's always fun to play with antennas.
---------- I've got to admit that even though I'm still scoring no points so far this year it's been great fun playing with my setup and hearing about all the contacts everyone's been making. Last year was fun even though my radio was out of action and this year I at least have a working rig! It's given me the excuse to play around with new antenna options and spurred me on in the right direction to enjoy my radio. I used to get despondent shouting out fruitlessly before but now I find it part of the fun and experience.
Very well done to everyone involved, from those making cracking contacts to those that are still persevering.
It's all awesome stuff!

Over the moon with China, confirmed on qrz.com as well, never even heard China on any band before. Not got hardly any of the "easy" contacts yet, like Italy (or Wales) lol If you get as far as Lebanon you know all is working well so good job I am very lucky to be retired now, and the help of a 5 ele yagi is a huge bonus Gutted the bands were so poor while Craig was away lol

Well done with the contact to China Al. Very impressed mate! (Only ever heard them SWL on the higher HF bands.)
Also well done to you too there Neal! You've made some cracking contacts with your setup and inspires me with hope for mine.
In fact, well done everyone!
It's still early doors and we should have some sporadic E action in the forthcoming months to spice things up. (Still ain't gonna manage China though!! )

Nice one Paul working him from your mobile , Hamed was easily the strongest on the band @ the time peaking well over 20db , I was beaming southeast and because of the wind the yagi was only 6m above the ground
Maybe get you on the short skip over the summer

Had doubts about my antenna setup so scanned for FT8 activity with some worldwide reception but couldn't even get back to any on that! Gnashing at the bit now for some Sporadic E to score at least one point!
