Just testing the water and wondering how many members would be up for a CT run 10m dxcc summer challenge ?
This would start on the 1st April and members would post up their dxccc contacts , gaining 1point for every new dxcc worked , I would then keep a updated table here on the CT forum , no Facebook or club log needed
Names so far
Me and Al would be great if a few more could join in
Cheers

Having run the "10m SSB Summer Challenge" myself since 2017 as you both well know I would have thought you could at least have thought up your own name . Good luck as anything that creates activity on TEN is a bonus , just watch out for those that cheat LOL.

10m uk net has gone to pot since you left Kev, no one keeping score, and the cheats, lol, if you check clublog there's 17 started already with leader on 34! Take some catching lol. After a long chat with Iain and Ian it seems its every man for himself and no new members unless they are on FB Was time to start again, you in Kev?

Well we wouldn't want you running to the shack shouting "Montengro" (?) at the Mrs again at her puzzled look although this year maybe Malaysia might be whats shouted , good luck on TEN.

All sounds exciting Craig and has my ears pricked up with interest!
I enjoyed a bit of 11m/CB DX last summer and itching to fire up on 10m this year with my still spangly licence.
My 10W and simple dipole won't be dragging those DX stations in but I do stand a chance of contact if conditions are favourable. Besides, at the moment if I come last I'll still be in the top three!
I'm up for anything that involves some radio fun.

I’d probably be interested, but not if it’s one big clique who don’t even post their (approximate) location and their working conditions like on a 28Mhz FB page that I used to belong to...

I expect some of you know the group I’m referring to, far too serious for me, that’s why I now spend most of my time back on 11 where the vast majority of operators aren’t stuck up their own arseholes! Yes, count me in please Craig, but apologies in advance if I forget to update now & again, my competitive operating days in pileups etc are left back in the 1980s!

Nice on John and great to have you onboard , I will probably update the table every Sunday evening , will also start a thread where you can post the contacts , all I ask with every post is to include your own personal running total ( will save me a bit of work )

Ah well, that's me bumped off the top three now.....Ha! Ha!
No honestly, good to see interest in this and it running on Charlie Tango. (God doesn't it all get a bit serious elsewhere?! I'm in it for the fun )
Hi John H. Nice to know others are expecting fun with this too.
Hi Tim. I might even have a dabble at a coax antenna after seeing one of yours in your recent vid.
Now there's five. Be nice to see a few more. Great work Craig, looking forward to all this.

I can only do anything for fun, no ones ever took me serious, I can get a bit competitive though

I got my G0 ticket in November ’85, after about five years as a 11 metre pirate, and was lucky enough to get my DXCC in February ‘88. I had a Trio 530SP and a HQ-1 mini beam! Was very active for around 10 years, but then due mainly to lack of time sold up in the mid 90s.
I started SWL/MW DXing again when I retired in 2016, bought a ICOM 703 just over two years ago with the intention of enjoying QRP SSB, then realised most activity seemed to be on digimodes! Fortunately the 703 had been widebanded so six months later I was back to my pirate roots on freeband! I still enjoy 28Mhz when it’s open, but most of my radio time is spent SWL/MW DXing along with some 11metre hill-topping when we’re not locked down!

And this is why I desperately need a hf rig as I'm missing all of then! I really wish I could join in but trying to find a reasonably used hf radio is like hens teeth, but I am always on the look out so if I get hold of one before April then I'll let you know and you can count me in.
