Anyone know where I can get a new replacement original type microphone for my K-PO DX5000?
I know I can get a nice new power mic but I really do like having the up/down channel buttons on the microphone and those are mostly absent from replacement mics as far as I can tell.
The "up" button seems to have stopped working on mine for some reason. Maybe I have worn it out but it still seems to click OK!
Are dry joints and suchlike known issues with those original microphones I wonder?
I'm proficient with a soldering iron but would rather only take my original one apart if I already have another to press into service. New ones aren't expensive but Thunderpole have been out of stock for a long time now.
It doesn't hurt to have a spare kicking around anyway.
