No can do at the moment I'm afraid. We got daughter and grandkids living with us at the mo, they'll all be in bed next to where the radio is currently setup (Saving me pennies for a reel of coax so I can pipe out to my workshop, the only place they haven't taken over!)
It's a shame I haven't got you on air yet. Surprisingly I could hear Austria earlier in the day but can't get a piddly 20 miles down the road!? I've been digging through my junk to cobble together a magnetic loop antenna which should cut through the RF hash and I could beam it in your direction. Gonna have to wait until I can grab another "volunteer" to shove it in the loft for me.
It's a pity but I know you're out there so hopefully catch you on the airwaves real soon.
All the best mate, Victor

Hi Martin,
Radio and propogation is a strange beast, nothing one minute the world the next!
You can be chatting to someone 50+ miles away and not hear someone close, yet next minute it's flipped around
Hopefully Mick gets the net going once contacts are made and it'll build up from there.
In the mean time I'm gonna play with some antenna designs to see if I can punch through. A moxon beam would be nice, could point it North and maybe get both of you?
Take it easy, Victor

Hiya'
It was the same here, could just be the conditions, I was getting S5 static on Wednesday and S7 on Tuesday so not good conditions at the moment. There will be a few nets on before next week so ill tune into them and see.
73's

Will try shouting out again tonight, (27th), and see if we're more successful. Fingers crossed
Been using a "VT314" callsign til the 26 division CTs are caught up with.
Still doubting my setup, could hear Fred and the guys on 305 recently, (albeit back of the box), but never successfully QSK'd.
If not, I hope you get some good contact/DX. (We CBers seem a bit thin on the ground in this region despite three good CB/Radio suppliers in the area?!?)
All the best, Victor

Nothing so far tonight guys, called out and listened.
Setup an antenna switch, (the antenna being my only doubt), so I could switch between an 11m inverted V and my old fan array, (with matcher), to no avail. Even tried out a magnetic loop I knocked up recently although I could only push about 20 watts through it before the capacitor arced
Gave it my best shot. Hope you fared better. (Had to signoff, grand kids in bed)
All the best, Victor
