Subject: The AMC SSB Net on a Thursday night Tue May 17, 2022 11:51 pm
Hello and welcome
Yes I have been out and about and joined in with another net.
The net in question, is the AMC SSB Net which was held on the 12-05-2022 and it is chaired by the 1 and only Neil 163 AMC 388
For those who don't know, Neil chaired the Southern Area & South Coast SSB for along period time and did a magnificent job
So I parked up in my normal spot, Radio Corner, Ashdown Forest and set up the Anytone AT-6666 with the Solarcon A99 on a 3 metre pole. (No amp No power mic)
Now here is my list of stations that I worked or heard. (w) worked, (h) heard only
26 AMC 519--Ray--Purbeck Hills--Dorset (w) 26 UN 66--No contact 163 AMC 388--Neil-- Near Ebbw Vale--Wales (w) The Chairman 26 AH 09--Tim--Berkshire Downs--Berkshire (w) 26 AMC 11--Dave--Isle of Wight (w) 26 TC 74--John--Near Telford--Shropshire (w) 26 FI 420--Dick--Near Cambridge--Cambridgeshire (h) 163 RU 08--Rod--Brecon Beacon--Wales (w) 26 HT 33--Chris--Welwyn Garden City--Hertfordshire (w) 26 TC 101--Al--Between Birmingham & Coventry--Midlands (w) 163 CT 302--Phil--Near Bridgend--Wales (w) 163 TC 11--Stuart--Location unknown (h) 26 WI 01--Neil--Barrow in Furness--Cumbria (heard me) 26 WO 06--Matt--Dorchester--Dorset (w)
I had a great night and look forward to joining them again.
Well done to Neil for keeping things moving and working with some strange groundwave conditions
Here is my video of some of my night's contacts
