I'm surprised you don't get John & Maxine at least, a chap contacted them from near me in Sussex a few weeks ago. Also i see that at least two others from Nuneaton are in their log which you can see Here
Are you on low ground?

Managed to get Maxine and Al tonight. John "the farmer" is literally on my doorstep, so no worries with him had a couple of others but it was V difficult. Thanks all.

I enjoyed the net last night, I find it hard to get down to John and Maxine on the Long Mynd and last night was no exception. John's signal report for me was R2S0. I did make a few contacts though with a small group of stations who seem to be able to hear me. I don't expect to make it to the main group in the midlands as I only use a McKinley with standard power, but find it very satisfying when I make it across to Wales from my perch on the Yorkshire Wolds. Best wishes Al 26TD133
