I know absolutely nothing about either rigs but a quick google of them confirms a bracket is available for the yaesu as wireless posted.

But the yaesu looks huge compared to the icom. Also the icom looks to have a removable face for mobile use.

Space was an issue with me mobile and why I chose the smaller CRT 9900 over a 6900.

Otherwise I would of gone for the 6900.
I much prefer the look and simplicity of them and they're cheaper 👍🤣

Anyway thats maybe something for you to consider and good luck with whatever you choose 👍

they are cheaper but don't have variable power on SSB so unless i go into them and turn the i cant run a set of boots(burner) the two radio ive mention run 100 watts straight out the back of the.

I wasn't suggesting the CRT radios to you.
I was wondering, as you mentioned mobile. If you had the space for the larger radio.

how easy was it to wide band your radio or did you send it out for someone else to do it for you?
