Cheers. Hi Farren, Nice little starter rig, especially if you are going to do some usb work. I would advise you to also get a frequency counter as it may be hard to navigate usb channels not knowing what frequency you are on, Personally I would get something that has a 40fm board in it aswell, nice starter usb rig with 40 UK board is SS6900N.. Good luck Mick | |

| Yes, I agree with Mickboy, Superstar 6900N unlocked is perfect and are all over the place and price has got better as they have been arround a good bit now. Look up Fred In The Shed video on the 6900n and he will show you in layman's terms all about the rig. Plenty of power unlike the most of the older style rigs. Built in swr/echo/roger bleep covers 6 blocks of 40 channels A-F and all modes FM/AM/USB/LSB with 40w which is on a variable knob. If you add all of the features up as extras and had to buy those on their own = not a bad first rig to start with | |

| My first SSB radio was a Major M588 back in the mid 80`s, used it for the local nets and worked Europe with it when conditions were right, made by Ham International i believe, as said before worth having the uk band added, a great little radio. | |
