My Name is Darren, i got into CB in the Early 80's for a few years the returned from about 88 to 92. I had many different radios as you had to try them all. Sideband radios became my Favourite Rigs, Super low to Super High on modified radios(Cobra's 148's).
In 2007 i got a Rig which was always out of reach moneywise a President Jackson, mk1 it was a great Rig.
I then went onto Ham Radio and had a Icom 706 mk2 g, to be honest i became board and sold up.
Now i am back with a unmodded Cobra 148 Gtl Dx Mk1. She's tidy for her age.
I would like a Callsign please.

Great intro there and good to hear a little about your radio history. Do like a clean 148 myself.
To be issued a call sign you'll have to fill out your profile as per the forum instructions.
Once that is done just keep an eye on this posting for when our admin Gary comes along to allocate you.

Your profile is complete so it's just a case of waiting for Gary to allocate you now. (Please note that this can take up to 48 hrs as admin work in a voluntary capacity but Gary is usually pretty fast.)
Ha! I think most of us here have a maybe sordid dim & distant past, 19-clickety-click and all that with "illegal" radio activities.
At least nowadays it's all legal which is just as well as back in the day it was all 'raids', 'confiscations' and big fines! How times change.

Is it possible to request a Number as 54 46 thats my Number from Toots and the Maytails,5446 would be good as i like SKA,that's if possible and not taken and no rules are broken. Thankyou
