Hi guyes, I'm returning to the hobby after a hiatus of 40+ years!! I'd like a call sign please. I'd prefer to choose one than randomly assigned if possible.

Hello Andrew, welcome to the forum.
Feel free to choose any call sign that isn't already allocated in our call sign directory.
Let me know when you've decided and I'll get you sorted out on the next run.

Hi Andrew,
Welcome to Charlie Tango.
I think your request for the number/letter combination you've asked for will be rejected due to the way call sign numbers are allocated.
The first digits are the QTH country code with "26" being the code for England.
Then there's "CT" obviously for Charlie Tango and then a membership number being numerical digits.
Just trying to help out so that there are no unnecessary delays in you obtaining a call sign.
Enjoy your return to the airwaves.
All the best, Victor

Hi Andrew, welcome to the CTDX Group, I think your looking at the members licensed Ham call signs rather than the 11m CT ones. 73s Steve.

I don't see where to look for call signs in the menu.

Hi, The CT call signs look a bit overcooked to me. As it happens I am a licensed Ham so I might as well stick to my own call sign. So I withdraw my call sign request. Thanks anyway.

Hi again Andrew,
I'm not sure about 'overcooked' especially as most CB 'clubs' or associations use the same process, i.e. country code - club identifier - membership number and so internationally recognised. (As per the Alfa-Tango's.)
Totally up to you though.
Best of luck,
Victor

Hi Andrew,
As Victor has explained we use an internationally recognised 11 meter band format.
If you change your mind don't hesitate to re request, either way stick around and enjoy the forum. All the very best of luck with your return to the hobby.
73's Gary.
