Space Weather News 28.11.2019 Chance of good radio propagation

Heads up guys, chance of some propagation!

Improved solar flux doesn't necessarily mean better propagation, but it often does and SF into the low 70s is better than it's been for most of the last 18 months.

Was a great day today for it, lots of European stations coming in , Brazil and Mexico but only contacts made today were in Germany for me

I heard lots of French but with lots of noise some voices were hard to work out where they were.
I know someone once said if you can hear them you can work them but not with noise you can't.
Might be the Antron 99 thats pulling in too much noise, but hopefully a new antenna will drop the noise and i will hear a lot more stations.
I just listened to the stations today because the wife was watching some films, never said anything but you can always tell with the look they give you.
Antron 99 isn't that high up but its picking people up it's just the dam noise! hopefully the new antenna will let me know?

Thanks, its always nice when you get a non UK DX.  I could hear them on my 6900 but like you I had S7 of noise coming over , so i switched to my Yaesu and the noise reduction on that brought it down to S2-3 and made it easy.  They were booming into me 9 0ver 9. My Serio 827 pulls in a lot of noise but it really booms out giving Germany S7-9 on 45w out the back of the radio with no linear..

I was stuck doing chores so couldn't get out portable, but looking at the clusters there was plenty to work. Onwards and upwards!

All i know was the bands were alive and i heard loads of charlie tango members calling back.
Was a great day i just sat back and listened and it felt like the good old days back in the 80's to me just not as busy.
I heard some more today and i could have sworn i heard an american!

The Alien picture made me laugh.
We now know the skip is caused by Alien spaceships and not sun spots. They come to earth every eleven years for abductions and probing.

The propagation over the weekend was indeed pretty good though i was a tad busy to work anything, didn't stop me from listening in though.
