Hi everyone
I have been using my President Harry III in my work van for a couple of weeks, I have been getting tons of static and faint contacts… I decided to put my handheld President Randy III through the 12v feed and the thunderpole atom. I can’t believe the difference it’s made so far…. I’m going to continue with this for a bit and see what happens.
I can only think that the Randy III has a 12v battery pack adapter that’s filtering out some of the static and interference that I’m getting from the direct 12v…
I could be talking rubbish here and tell me if I am but as a newbie I’ve found this quite interesting

Did you wire in the Harry III straight onto the battery or cig lighter socket? Either way, It will more than likely pick up engine noise and get a 'whirl' sound when you accelerate. Very common when wiring radios into the car I'm afraid
You can try to eliminate the noise by wiring it direct to the battery terminals and adding a ferrite ring/clip to the power lead closest to the radio.
The Randy seems to have a filter within the car adaptor kit so happy days!
