Hi is there any posibility that anyone has a CHIRP .img file for a UV5R with Firmware version N5R2407 BFB297?
 I have made mine deaf by using chirp and just plugging in a radio and copying things across (Stupid I know) it will only recieve whilst holding MONI, I cant find a factory .img file anywhere and the sites that I have found that hold the files no longer exist.

Thank you for the reply, just had a pop at all the matching firmware but still no RX or scan function RX only if Moni is depressed still. Running out of ideas. Other radios can be used, but its annoying that theres a radio sat there that could be potentially fixed and operational again.

Probably teaching you how to suck eggs, have you tried full factory reset then installing the firmware?

Ha ha, tried everything I can think of, even an email to Baofeng themselves re stock firmware, what a surprise... no help from them.
 not sure now to be honest, put it in a cupboard I think.

Have you tried the images for download from this.
The .img files that is you never know and nothing to loose.
