Hello everyone I'm John from Sheffield UK. Just getting back into cb after 25+years away, not that I was an expert back then just had mainly standard radios usually with a mid band switch always wanted to try the sidebands but I was only a chabby so could never afford a cobra or anything like that. Now the kids have grown and living their own lives I've got more time for a new hobby so after watching afew yt videos i bought a second hand alinco dx 135, I made a power pack (thanks to fred in the shed.) now just need to find an antenna and to be issued a call sign so will hopefully be back on air by the weekend. Many thanks in advance of the help I'll need

Hi Victor thanks for the call sign and quick response. Just ordered the thunderpole silver rod and getting some coax tomorrow so hopefully I should be up and running for Friday. I've been scanning through the topics picking up tips and tricks, just trying to learn/remember the lingo at the minute . Sure you'll see me posting questions over the next few weeks.
