Hello Grady,

Yes the Vector 4000 will be a good antenna for the 11 meter band, the question might be how durable is it? I've never used one but I'm sure we have some on here who have.

73's Gary.

For standing up to wind the Imax 2000, Antron A99 or Vortex Antennas Quasar are good ones.

I do pass a farm on the way to work which has a Vector 4000 on a versatower and it's been there the last 5 years and it gets bloody windy there.

Good luck with the Vector 4000 great working antenna, if you are not so exposed to the elements it should last a while. Connor if the antennae you pass at the farm on the Versa Tower is down in the Vale of York its a mk1 Vortex q82. A vector 4000 would not last long in that exposed location as it takes a battering from the wind. Not high asl around the Vale of York but we certainly get a constant winds on the open area.

The one near Shiptonthorpe? Ah, thought it was a 4000. It's certainly getting a good workout with the wind down there.

Just looked at the price. For £375-£400 it should be bombproof.
