Who's interested?
For anyone new to it, you are awarded 1 point per unique DXCC made on the 10m band using SSB* between the dates of April 1st to Aug 31st. Check out previous years threads in the Amateur Lounge Contacts section to see how to report your contacts and for old score boards.
Although some people are extremely competitive, don't worry it is really just for fun. Whether you achieve DXCC+ or just the one contact, it doesn't matter, I think it is great that Charlie Tango promote 10m activity through this challenge.
If you'd like to give it a go please let know below along with your ham callsign if it is not already noted in your profile.

Notes to admins.. Don't want to step on anyone's toes. Am happy to run with the scoring again this year but certainly won't have my nose put out of joint if one of you want to manage.
*SSB. All contacts on previous challenges have been made with SSB, I believe. I mentioned a possible separate score board for digital modes last year, but we kept to just SSB to keep simple and more of a challenge. For this year I think best to keep the same, but are all who have been involved previously happy to include all phone modes e.g. AM & FM too, or just keep to SSB?

Hi Neal,
Very well done again with putting yourself forward to organise and run the CT 10m Challenge. You did a fantastic job last time and I'd be more than happy for you to go with it all again.
Straight SSB phone does seem like a good choice giving everyone the same playing field to compete on.
Hopefully I'll do better than I did on the 11m challenge as all I seemed to get was Italy, Italy, Italy scoring no extra points. Still a lot of fun though!
Look forward to concentrating on some 10m action spurred on by the CT involvement.
Well done again mate.
All the best, Victor

This sounds great! It'll be a few weeks before I get the shack up and running, so only static mobile until then.
I'll have a read of the rules.
I will be applying for a French call sign soon, is that okay? However, I'd be using my G1 callsign when in the UK.
Sorry to complicate things.

Shouldn't be a problem there Deb, after all we do run these type of events more for the fun of it as well as to try and enthuse some on air activity.

Thanks all.
Victor, yes no worries, straight SSB it will be.
Deb, no problem with the callsigns.
I'll leave it another week before I set any threads up for it so not to detract too much from the 11m contest that I think is still on at the moment, and also just in case Craig or Al do want to manage it.
If anyone hasn't found the rules in the other threads yet, it's all very simple. SSB, on 10m. 1 point for each unique DXCC worked between the start and finish dates. Example...
UI7T - Russia 1pt (total = 1pt) CT3MD - Madeira Island 1pt (total = 2pts) SV1RXI/M - Greece 1pt (total = 3pts) RU3OZ - Russia (Russia already worked so no pts given) SV5BYR - Dodecanese 1pt (4pts) etc
Whilst I will obviously do my best participating in the challenge, my operating time is increasingly being spread into experimenting with other lesser used modes, basically just trying to do anything and everything that is allowed on 10m, so good chance my score won't be to what it was last couple of years. As always, I would really love to get Wales in the log (hard for me although I am just over the border), and also will be listening out for Belgium and Ireland... I know not major DX, but I am trying to fill out enough on the check sheet for to get the IARU Region 1 28MHz Class 2 Award and although I have worked those last two I crazily don't actually have them confirmed in LotW.
Anyone else who would like to join in this year then do let know below. Lets have some fun

I'm doing a lot of traveling this year. (England, Guernsey, RoI NI) Can I log stations worked while away from home?
I'm looking forward to working from a few high points on the Wild Atlantic Way.

It's all about enthusing some on air activity and friendly competition between members Deb so nothing should really be a problem. (I know some 'competitions' can have very strict rules and be all too serious.)
Many here will be running various setups from different locations and differing power levels but it's all about having some fun with radio more than anything. I know I won't be rocking the world with my setup but will enjoy doing my best as well as delighting in others achievements with it all.
73, Victor

Thanks, Victor. Sounds like a lot of fun, and looking forward to it. I just didn't want to risk standing in the naughty corner for snagging a ZL from St Martin's point in GU. (I live in hope)
PS - While writing this our lovely post lady delivered my new G90 Ordered from Radioddity on Tuesday!

Hello Neil,
Please add me to the league table. I've not long moved house and am yet to put my HF antennas up. This will be a great incentive to do so.
Best 73 Gary.

But propagation looks promising. Heard a ZC work a VK on 10m earlier this morning. The VK was the stronger signal with me. But try as I might, I couldn't get through
