Hi just wondering what would cause an antenna to go deff if it was / has been ok from new, would an antenna degrade in the weather etc everything else being ok coax plugs etc.

Hi John,
You don't say what antenna you have but assuming that everything else is okay I would say it's water ingress into the antenna itself. Best to bring it down and give it a thorough check over.
