Hello everyone in the Charlie Tango DX group. My name is Garry from ipswich suffolk UK & My old handle was Milky bar kid. I started with CB way back in the early 90's and probably tried just about most radios & twigs I could get My hands on. Met a guy who invited Me to top secret ssb 11m group & got into using SSB, although not very successfully. I took My novice course & exam in 1993 but never really like Ham like I did CB. I'm currently operating a FT991a & Anytone 868 with My intermediate licence & also use DMR. A friend of Mine has been suggesting for years that I move over to 10 & 11 meter bands so I'm finally gonna give it a go. Just bought a President George 2 & a tried & trusted solacon A99 that I'm planning on putting up Saturday in place of My massively unused 2/70cm j-pole. Amateur VHF/UHF seems to be a boring waste of time unfortunately so I'm coming back to CB. Connecting up the George to My EFHW, I cant believe how good & active the bands are so I'm really looking forward to getting the Antron up. I would like to request 26CT callsign please so I can start some DX if conditions 7 My set up allow. 73's & hope to catch you on the air.... Garry.
