I and a lot of you, had hoped things would have calmed down and this could of still happened, but it can't! Buxton Bash 2021 is booked though.
I will update you all as soon as things progress in the coming weeks. Stay safe!

Open to all! and all welcome to attend!

Camping is £10 per person, per night.

1 night camping £10 (inc 1 BBQ meal)
2 nights camping £20 (inc 2 BBQ meals)

Day visits, a voluntary contribution will be welcome.

This is Great news.  

I shall be there for the full weekend with the tower and a good sized Antenna on top of it. I still haven't decided on what Antenna to put up. I may go for an existing one and tweak it a little.
Not so wide band, more gain and F/B rejection.  
You will have to turn up and see/use it to find out.
I am only going for the AL FEAST, already bought the 1st 20 tickets LOL.

Looking forward to seeing friendly faces again.

I have been having a think about what Antenna to build and use for this year.    :

I fancy a Change to make things interesting, all I am going to say for now is.  

There will be 8 ELEMENTS up in the air.  

you will have to be there to use it.

I am sure you will be able to hear us if you can't make it.  

It will be on the tower, too big for a push up mast.

Material is on order and I will be building and testing a bit later in the year.

Missed this last year , bit of a drive from swindon .

As i have never been, apart from 11m station whst other antennas will be errecting ? Any chance errecting a medium sized 2m station ... SSB and FM ?

I am sure there will be somewhere to put up a vert or Yagi for 2mtr. Do you have a push up mast or any type of pole to mount it on.
It wont  get in the way and you will be surprised at the distances on low power.

I have worked France and Holland with 10 watts ( no big lift on ) from the Buxton site. Bring your
equipment along and have a play. There will be plenty of hands to help you out.
I shall have an Analyzer with me if you need things checking.

Id be interested seeing 2m ssb in action, tried 2m repeaters but not for me but ssb with a yagi should be good

I have a 12m push up ali mast and 2 x 10 ft 50mm thick wall ali tubes and a 10ft 33mm so can fabricate either a drive on plate to go underneathe the landrovers wheel or a tilt plate that can be pegged down with a large base plate / legs and guys in 2/3 places on the way up with slip rings to rotate by hand .

i have a kenwood tr900 all mode which i run with a 50w linear or a yaesu ft818 for QRP, i have a 6 element beam and can even have a vertical on the top with 2 coax runs up the mast with a switch box for vertical or horizontal .

I can either fix to a tilt plate on side of my landrover or a satandalone one. Either case i will have to fabricate one . Which is best for the site ?

thats sounds great, the gear you have. you dont need to go more than 7mtr on a mast up there.. Bring your gear along, I am sure we can get you up and running for the weekend. It would be good if there was a 2mtr contest on, chase some good contacts.

tried one year for the ISS but we missed it,
(caught it at the home qth a few months later thou)

If its radio, its in.

I can carry alot of gear in the back of the landrover but have to set off early for the lack of speed !
