i have two crt 6900n on side band one has about 7 of noise and the other one only has about 3 on side band is this just down to what the radio is picking up or can one of them have a fault

Hi Steven, no I don't think one is faulty it's just the way CRT build em I bet the power output on both is different also. We have several 6900 users on our net regularly and 9900 and none of are remotely the same. Hope this puts your mind at rest, 73s Steve.

Also if your just going by the meter reading one maybe not set right thats if it's been set correctly anyway TBH I haven't come across two radios that give exactly the same readings ,there all between 5 or 10% out even new especially these new type radios.

I have that problem in Spain as a lot of people use solar panels ( NOT A LOT I CAN DO ) apart from going mobile
