. Hello all and welcome
Here is my report for the net held on Thursday 13th of January 2022
The weather was clear, cold and still with a 3/4 moon shining down on Radio Corner, Ashdown Forest, East Sussex. The set up was a Anytone AT-6666 and an Antron 99 for most of the net, but after 10.30 I swapped over to a Sirio 4000.
Due to finishing work after 7 o'clock, the net was started by Nigel AMC 720 (cheers Nigel ), unfortunately in the handover I may have missed some peoples callsigns which I apologise for. So if you read this and see that your not in the log, let me know and I will add you.
Now for the list of stations that called in and were heard and or worked by the net. All stations are 26 division unless otherwise stated.

. Welcome all, to my report for the Southern Area & South Coast SSB net held on the 20-01-2022
The net is held on channel 39 mid block or 27.395 MHz USB.
My location was a cold Radio Corner Ashdown Forest in the County of East Sussex. The set up was a CRT 6900 and a Antron 99 antenna on a mast.
When I arrived and turned the radio, channel 39 was a noise of English and European stations calling out for the net and DXing.
So on with the list of stations that were worked and or heard by the net. All stations are 26 division unless stated otherwise.

. Hello & welcome
Here is my slightly later than normal report for the net held on the 27-01-2022
The net is held on channel 39 midblock or 27.395 USB and starts around the 8 o'clock mark.
My location was a cold 🥶 Radio Corner, under a clear starry night, in East Sussex. The set up was the Sirio 4000 and the Anytone AT-6666.
After a disastrous start due to battery issues I did finally get on the air.
But before I did, AMC 350 Iian, FB 20 Jonno and KP 441 Steve jumped in and started the net off. Well done and thank you.
So here is the list of stations heard and or worked by the net. All stations are 26 division unless otherwise stated.

Hello and welcome
Here is my report for the SSB net held on Thursday 24th of February 2022. The net is on 27.395 MHz USB, channel 39 USB mid-block or FCC channel 39 USB and starts at about 8'oclock or 20:00 hrs
My location was Radio Corner, Ashdown Forest, East Sussex or JO-bb-01. My set up was the Anytone AT-5555 transmitting via a Sirio 4000 on a mag-mount. The weather was dry and cold with a clear sky.
The first 45 minutes was a bit messy with people trying to calling in, not hearing people answering them, and then having their own conversations with people local to them.
Now for a question. How would you pick out or identify 3 people all calling "QSK QSK" at the same time?
Here is my list of stations heard and or worked by the net. All stations are 26 division.

Hello and welcome to my report of the Southern Area and South Coast Net or for one night only "The Chris CT 5588 Birthday Net"
The net was on Thursday night and started at 20:00 GMT or 8 o'clock in the evening. It can be found on 27.395 USB or channel 39 USB mid-block/FCC.
My location was Radio Corner, Ashdown Forest, East Sussex and the set was the Anytone AT-6666, standard mic all transmitting via a silver rod style 1/2 wave vertical antenna. The weather on the night started cloudy, mild with a gentle breeze, then midway during the net, Radio corner vanished in a blanket of fog and at the end, when I packed up, there was a clear sky and a chilly breeze.
The conditions on the night seemed a bit strange as most of the Southeast was hearing a low constant tone, which I did think was my Tinnitus until others said they could hear it too.
It was also report by a SWL that Spain was trying to call into the net. If you are one of those stations reading this, sorry we didn't hear you.
También se informó por un SWL que España estaba tratando de llamar a la red.

. Hello all
Before I start my report of the net. A big thank you to all who stepped in and started thing off.
Now for my report for the net held on Thursday 10th of March 2022
The net is on channel 39 USB mid-block or if you use a fancy radio with only a frequency display 27.395MHz and starts about 8 o'clock, 20.00 GMT or 20.00 UTC
I arrived a bit late and then got into a conversation with a couple of radio operators which then meant I got on even later! My location was Radio Corner, Ashdown Forest, East Sussex.
My set up for the night was a Kenwood TS 140S and a Sirio 4000 on a mag mount.
The nights conditions were the worst I have encountered for a long time, the noise was way above normal. This was also confirmed by 2 amateur's who were complaining of hums, tones, increased static, Russian radar, snap, crackle & pop from 160-10m I closed the net at 11 o'clock because the band was unworkable for me.
Now for a combined list of stations that called in and apologues if I don't have more information that a callsign.

Hi Andy, yes it's up and running loads calling in including breacon beacon, heartfordshire, Essex, London. etc. Also Jono in Chichester who I thought you would hear easily, have you actually tried to QSK?

Hi Tony:
I would have called in, but I could barely hear any stations. My noise level at this location on 11m is just too high. With RF gain on full I'm getting S5-7 noise. Other bands are OK, I don't have a problem with any of the amateur bands - even 10m is fine, but these are likely to be notched out on most PLT devices. Unfortunately, it seems that 11m might not be viable for anything other than local contacts from my location.

. Hello all
Here is my report of the SSB net held on the 24/03/2022 The net is held on channel 39 USB mid-block or 27.395 USB if you have VFO. It starts at 8 o'clock GMT or 20:00 hrs.
I arrived late and found the net underway and being chaired by Nigel AMC 720 with Howard HK 101 taking notes, Steve KP 441, Dave LT 727 (I think) and Ian AMC 350. This was the team that run it last week in my absence.
My set up was a Kenwood TS-140S and a Sirio 4000 on a mag mount and my location was Radio Corner, Ashdown Forest, East Sussex
As I wasn't in the chair, it was nice to be able to sit back, look up at the stars and be just one of the many that have called in and wait my turn to be passed round.
So here is the list of stations that I talked to.

. Hello and welcome to my report for the Southern Area & South Coast SSB Net.
The net was on 31st of March 2022 and can be found on channel 39 mid-block or 27.395 MHz USB and starts about the 8 o'clock , 20:00 Hrs BST or 19:00 UTC.
My set up for the night was going to be the Kenwood TS-140S, but due to battery issues, I used the Anytone AT-6666 and the Moonraker vertical GPA 1/2 wave. My location was Radio Corner, Ashdown Forest, East Sussex
The weather was cold with a clear sky and an outside temperature of 1.5 degrees C. The temperature when I packed up was minus 1 degrees C 🥶
Mother nature had decided that the skip would be running high on the night and with all modes having someone TXing it made for a difficult night. I was, during the night, receiving Spanish, Portuguese or maybe even Mexican or South American stations up to S7+
Now for my list of stations heard and or worked by the net.

Contacts of the night. . . . .
Anybody that Tony CT 4013 talked to after all his noise problems
That concludes my log of the night
Thank you all who called in and to those that took my advice, I hope you got many contacts for the log. If I wasn't chairing the net I would have out chasing some DX.

Well done Ray,For your Patience and perseverance. How you managed to keep the net going with S9+10 of Continental skip and a thousand different roger bleeps I’ll never know.It certainly seems Solar cycle 25 is starting to warm up. Until the next one and a different location from me cheers geezer. P.S The missing callsign for Danny Hatfield is CT 4428 and could I have 1 Vowel and 2 Consonants… Cheers Tom. 26CT4029

Cheers Tom.
My patience & perseverance is mixed it with stubbornness, maybe a bit of stupidity and not knowing when to give up!
SS 25 does seem to be ticking all the right boxes
So are you touring the A/M2 trying to find a good spot for radio?
Thank you for Danny's callsign, I will update the log
M O T your 30 seconds start now. . . . . . . . . . . (can you hear the countdown music?)

Hello and welcome
Here is my report for the Net held on Thursday 07/04/2022
I won't bore you with the normal details of where I was, what my set up was or the weather.
Mother nature gave us a great opening to the US and it was chaos.
Having to suffer listening to some of regulars of the net, turn up and overdrive their amps & power mics opened up so far their audio was clipping and distorted.
So with all this going own, the net still went ahead, and a big thank you to the loyal few who were heard trying or succeed in calling in.

Hello all
As there was to much noise, crap, skip and bleed over on the 14-04-2022, I gave the net a missing and flicked around the 11m band. This was a good call as I had a small number of long Qso's with Paul in Gatwick, Rod in the Brecon Beacons, Richard in Birmingham and Dougie Fresh in Hindhead (it was great to hear you on the radio Dougie )
Now on with my report of the SA & SC SSB net (or The Ray & Roz show) which was on the 21-04-2022.
My location was Devils Dyke on the outskirts of Brighton in West Sussex The weather was clear with a gentle breeze, there was some hazy on the horizon and there was a spectacular sunset . Equipment used was a CRT SS 6900 and a Sirio Performer 5000 with the Green 🟢 LED's.
Now on with the list of stations that called in.
