Hi, can anyone tell me how to get both the channel name (eg PMR 001) & the frequency of channel 1 ( 446.00625) on the screen together when on channel 1. + the same for the other channels thru to 16 I know how to alter the top line of the display in the menu BUT on channel 1 the top line on the screen is fine reading PMR001 but the second line on the screen is showing ch004 or the frequency if i change it in the menu i can change this to frequency in the menu but can't seem to change it away from ch 004 - in fact it remains at this setting on every channel you select I managed to do the channel change on CHIRP with the data cable with no problems - but this display is anoying me summery - how can i get the channel name & the frequency of the channel underneath the name on the screen together - thanks for comments in advance cheers colyn

If its a Baofeng you can't. You can rename it to display what you want np.

you can put the channels onto the fixed slots, so from slot 1 to 16 in that order.

Thanks I've got them in the 1 to 16 slots no prob just trying to get the to display on the screen so i get the channel name & the frequency of the channel underneath the name on the screen together like this 001PMR 446.00625 or is this not possible because the 001PMR is channel mode & 446.00625 is frequency mode & the radio is unable to display a mixed mode of both on the screen together

Pretty sure you cannot do that. You will need to upgrade to something like a Yaesu FT-4 to be able to display a channel name such as "PMR CH-1" etc

Its two separate receivers. So each line is for each radio.
