Been booming in from Europe morning times.this week. Easy copies back. SSB Heard some guy on UK FM blasting in from Denmark making copies all over UK. Channel 19 was also very busy from Stoke to Wolverhampton areas, me in-between at my new park up location.

You've had some good luck then Pat.
Last week was easy, Germany, France, Spain, all without bother and in the evenings Denmark, Norway & Sweden were belting in. Heard some Alpha Tango competition stuff at the weekend, typical "5/9 QRZ" stuff(!), even got told off by one Italian with him screaming, "Competition only PLEASE!", at me when I shouted a CQ DX?!?!?
Heard France and some Spanish stuff the last couple of afternoons but no success getting back to them. Must look at an alternative to my bit of wire Inverted V hanging in the loft...toying with the idea of a low EFHW
Great stuff Pat. Keep at it. Victor

I need to invent some type of Stealth dipole were i live, its managed housing so can't drill holes in the brick work. Plenty of trees about. Got a small diploe up for SDR use, which is thin wire to fishing line , no one notice it apart from the gardener. Stinger on a oil radiator which gets out local but this low ground. Got a great mast on the roof of the complex with load of TV antennas, keep looking at it every day thinking what i can put up there without anyone noticing. So for now I'm mobile only which is ok this time of year but come winter i want home base station. Waiting for VNA to arrive so can experiment with making antennas.

Shame having restrictions on antennas Pat, feel for you mate.
I've got no such restrictions but a gammy leg put paid to my ladder climbing and trapeze act days. But, as they say "where there's a will there's a way!"
I'm laughing at you eyeing up that TV antenna mast, now that is a will and a half
Enjoy going mobile whilst the summer lasts, nothing better than parked on a good high spot with your radio. The VNA should do you well particularly with antenna experimentation. I've seen allsorts of stealth antennas from dipoles hanging on gutters to full blown Moxon beams strung around an apartment ceiling!
It's all to easy to get a 5/8ths installed but much more fun building something yourself.
All the best to you mate.
