When calling into any net, it will help the net Chair/controller to identify you above other QSK's if you use a handle, name or callsign with you QSK.
If you call into a net & don't get acknowledged straight away, it doesn't always mean you haven't been heard, wait & try again.

Welcome to my report of the last Southern Area SSB net of 2017 held on the 28-12-17

My set up for the night was a CRE 8900, a CRE DMC 520 coffin mic and a Moonraker GAP half wave on a 2.5 meter pole.

It was a cold night on the forest with the temperature starting at 4 degrees and by the end of the night it had dropped to -2 degrees.
There was also a lot of QRM from the continent making it difficult to work the furthest stations on the net.

My set up for the night was a CRE 8900, a CRE DMC 520 coffin mic and a Moonraker GAP half wave on a 2.5 meter pole.

It was a cold foggy night on the forest with the temperature starting at 6 degrees and by the end of the night it had dropped to 3 degrees,
when it was time to pack up, everything outside of the vehicle was wet and needed to be dried out.
