Hi all and welcome.
After a long absence away due to mobile shack AKA van problems (2 injectors, various sensors and a new turbo!! and a mechanic who hurt his back while working on my van), it was good to get back out on the radio and having been away for what seems like months, i didn't know what to expect or even if the net was still going.
I arrived at my normal spot, had a chat with a licence OP who was working 2 meters and then set up. I took a deep breath and turned on the radio..........and called out.
Here is my list of stations who were on the 29-07-2019 South Coast PMR net.
1. TK 08--George--Tonbridge--Kent (who tried both Vertical and Horizontal transmissions) 2. CT 3127--Kevin--Selsey--West Sussex (have you found the Allen key??) 3. TM 3006--Michael--Clayton Hill--West Sussex 4. CT 2912--Sam--Goodwood Hill--West Sussex 5. KF 820--Dave--Alton--Hampshire (worked by Sam CT 2912) 6. OM 001--Graham--Burgess Hill--West Sussex 7. PR 1966--Boris--Bexhill--East Sussex (worked by Kevin CT 3127) 8. DDB 285--Steve--Riegate Hill--Surrey 9. DDB 342--Andy--Riegate Hill--Surrey (shotgun with Steve) 10. V V 01--Martin--Petworth--West Sussex (worked by Sam CT 2912) 11. DS 01--Pru--Riegate Hill--Surrey 12. CT 940--Richard--Riegate Hill--Surrey (shotgun with Pru) 13. LT 69--Sam--Harrow--North west London 14. FB 228--Martin--Eastbourne area--East Sussex (mobile) 15. And myself CT 2290--Ray--Ashdown Forest (JO-01-bb)--East Sussex (the guy with pen & paper)
I think there were other stations who called in before i arrived, apologies to those, and maybe others can add them to my list.
A BIG THANK YOU to all those who welcomed me back and commented that i had been missed .

Hi all and welcome Here is my report for the South Coast 446 net held on the 14-10-2019.
My set up for the night was a TYT TH-9000D & a 1/4 wave GPA. My location, as always, was Ashdown Forest (JO-01-bb).
It was a wet misty night on the forest with a cold wind. The temperature at the beginning of the net was about 16 degrees C and by the end it had dropped to 13 degrees C (the wind made it feel colder).
The net started at 8 o'clock and here is my list of stations that called in or was heard by the net.
TK08--George--Tonbridge--Kent CT2075--Jamie--Herons Ghyll--Near Uckfield--East Sussex (good to hear you again ) TM3006--Michael--Crawley--West Sussex LT69--Sam--Northolt--Located in the ancient county of Middlesex Fat Boy--Dean--Riegate Hill--Surrey FB 228--Martin H--Hellingley--East Sussex (good to hear you again ) And myself CT2290--Ray--Ashdown Forest--East Sussex
At about 9.30 a big, black, mud covered 4x4 driven by Michael (TM3006) with Steve (TM145) riding shotgun, followed shorty after by Dean (Fat Boy) in his car, pulled into my location for a surprise spur of the moment eyeball . We chatted, as you do, about radio, locations for using radio, how you like your tea and stuff, and I pulled off the surprise of the night by revealing that it was my birthday!
Thanks to all who called in and thank you to Michael, Steve and Dean for the eyeball. The net is open to all so don't be shy, call in and get your name in the log. See you on channel 14 (446.16875 Mhz)
