Hi all, Has anyone done the mod for expanded transmit and receive on the Icom 7000? If so any pointers or pics of which parts are removed would be much appreciated .It’s a Uk radio that I’d like to use on CB .Cheers Jerry CT-3654

Mine was done when I got it, but on most iComs, it's a single link or diode that needs removing.

Just check your board is the same, and Google a few sources, as mine probably isn't a UK model.

Thank for the reply, It’s the Mars/cap that I think makes it possible to transmit on 11 mtr and just wanted to make sure it’s the second diode from the front I need to remove for a UK radio.Cheers Jerry

Tha yanks call it MARS/CAP because those are the names of two networks over there just outside of HAM bands that the mod opens up for them. It’s just an expanded TX mod in reality.
